The 2024 MA World Convention will take place across three days on Labor Day weekend from Friday August 30th through Sunday September 1st, 2024. 

The event will be hosted at the DoubleTree San Francisco Airport conveniently located within minutes of San Francisco International Airport in Burlingame, CA. We have secured a block of hotel rooms starting at $139/night for a double room, including breakfast. Visit the Hotel page for more information on booking a room. 

Registration is now open! The cost is $160 which includes all programming, lunches on Saturday & Sunday, plus a light evening meal on Friday. The banquet dinner is $65 for chicken or $55 for either vegetarian or vegan entrees. Visit the Register page to learn more.

We suggest that you not register until you are confident that you will be able to attend the convention. Due to the processing fees that are incurred, when refunds are requested, we will refund all but $10 of the amount that was paid. For example, if you paid $160 you will receive a refund of $150.

Please note that Scholarship Donations are non-refundable.

Because of pre-convention preparation and maximum capacity limitations, we strongly advise that people register in advance, even for day use.  If we haven't reached the maximum room capacity, walk-ups will be allowed to register and attend for a to-be-determined price but will not receive the hotel food service (light dinner and lunches) or be able to purchase a banquet dinner due to the need to submit food service orders 72 hours in advance.

Convention activities will begin in the afternoon of August 30th and conclude in the afternoon on September 1st. There will also be optional pre and post convention activities planned on August 29th and September 2nd in and around San Francisco. For those who wish to stay longer in San Francisco, discounted room rates at the host hotel may be available to reserve from August 27th through September 3rd. Travel by Air
The most convenient airport with a free shuttle to the host hotel is San Francisco International Airport (SFO). We strongly suggest flying to SFO for the easiest access to the convention hotel. 

Alternative airports are Oakland International Airport (OAK) and San Jose International Airport (SJC). It is possible to take BART (subway) from OAK to SFO and then transfer to the hotel shuttle to the host hotel. The trip from OAK to the host hotel may take up to two hours on public transit so please keep that in mind. You may also choose to fly into SJC but public transportation is more difficult and it is recommended that people flying into SJC consider renting a car. 

Travel by Car
There will be free on-site parking for all convention attendees during the convention.

Yes. The hotel has a restaurant, and at the registration table we will have a list of restaurants in the area and their distances. Two are walkable (~16 minutes) while others in Burlingame & Millbrae are a 5-10-minute drive away.
